I really want to see more of these characters and learn more about the games and glitches found within their world. Overall, I highly recommend watching this show and giving it the support it needs on Netflix. If anything, it doesn't detract my enjoyment from the show - it's just something I noticed like a piece of string hanging off a sweater. The rest of the season is episodical which is by no means, bad. In the sense of, we get a glimpse that there's more going on behind the scenes at the end of episode 2, but by the time the first season is over, nothing is brought up again. If I were to have one criticism (albeit small), it were to be there doesn't seem to be an overarching story right now. Her chill personality was awesome and I loved how she's very cool at doing her job, but when you get to know her, she's just as much of a nerd as the next Glitch Tech. One of my other favorite characters is Zahra who is Arab American, who we meet in episode 1 (briefly), then as a leading role in episode 6. Not only that but we have characters of different cultures, backgrounds, and body types as well. As probably guessed from what I've stated already, the two main characters are POC - Five is Latin American and Miko is Asian American. Oh my gosh, her facial expressions are on a different level, and I love it.Īnother thing I loved about the show was its diversity. Then there's Miko, a spunky, fast-acting girl with lots of energy to go around! I love her hair, her family dynamics, the ways she employs her gamer logic, and her facial expressions. I also appreciated hearing him speak Spanish from time to time too - a very nice touch. I fell in love with him and his sweet interactions with his Papi and Abuela. Speaking of characters, I love them all! Five is easily my favorite character. Even though some of the references flew over my head, the dialogue between the characters was very comedic and enjoyable to listen to. As someone who has never been much of a gamer, this show made me want to purchase a gaming console and play every game referenced in the show (which is a LOT). It's a Ghostbusters meets Men in Black kinda vibe with all the gaming love and care to go around. In order to stop these glitches, the Hinobi Tech Corporation employs Glitch Techs to stop and capture the glitches. What are Glitch Techs? Well, have you ever wondered what really happens when a game starts to glitch? Instead of the game just glitching out and turning off, when a game glitches, it brings out a digital artificial intelligence (or a "glitch") usually in the form of a character or creature from that game and into the real world. Glitch Techs is the story of two teenagers, Hector "Five" Nieves and Miko Kubota, as they work through their new jobs as honorary Hinobi Glitch Techs. Looking for that next creative show to scratch the itch I needed it to, Glitch Techs was the treatment I needed to clear my skin. All I knew was that it was a show coming out on Netflix and its second season had just been released a while back. Before seeing its name popping up on Twitter, I didn't know much about Glitch Techs.

Shane Riedel, co-founder and CEO of Elucidate, said the investment comes at an integral moment for the company as it prepares to scale-up activities. Over the coming months, Elucidate will be engaging with key public authorities in the UK, highlighting the challenges of countering financial crime through existing processes and seeking to work with these authorities, including the FCA to implement advanced, risk-based solutions for financial institution. To ensure financial crime can be countered through government regulations, including shell company structuring and economic sanctions, a new approach is warranted. The FCA employs approximately 4,000 people and regulates over 50,000 institutions. Fraud and money laundering activities remain largely unmitigated and on the rise, with organizations relying on manual and outdated processes to counter financial crime. Geopolitical instability in Eastern Europe and the introduction of sanctions targeting Russia have highlighted the broader challenge financial institutions face when trying to identify and assess financial crime. Overall financial crime has skyrocketed during the COVID pandemic. The funding comes at a critical time for the financial sector. Existing investors APEX Ventures, Frontline Ventures, BiG Start Ventures and SixThirty Ventures, also participated. Elucidate, a financial crime risk management platform, has raised $8 million in a funding round led by AV8 Ventures, alongside Elevator Ventures, the corporate venture capital entity of Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) and Tommy Nicholas, Founder and CEO of Alloy.
